I remember my Buck. I could always tell that he'd done something he knew he wasn't supposed to do. He'd do the famous melting dog routine, walking across the livingroom to the door, slinking lower and lower to the ground. By the time he actually got to the door he was a virtual dog puddle of remorse. And no. He would not look at me.
