It's my sister's birthday today and I didn't send her a card. I'm a bad sister, bad.
So I'm going to wish her a very (public)
Happy Birthday, my dear sistah, Brenda!!
I shall go forth and eat cake in your honour. It's the right thing to do. No, no. Don't thank me. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for you.
Check out the cool special effects I applied to this photo. They call it "seventies effect" and I think it looks pretty authentic. Yup, you would almost swear this was taken in the seventies.
Now someone tell me, why am I sticking my fingers in her neck like I'm checking for a pulse?

Hey mom, you know those glasses are back in style?
Hi Pam,
You know, at first glance I thought that both blue slippers belonged to the same person(you Pam) and I was wondering where you got dem looong legs? That's what happens when you forget to wear sunglasses on a cloudless day. Oh dear...
But what a great bunch of kids. Kathy McG
Thanks kc!
Pam - I just noticed the V sign you made behind my head - I never noticed that before!!!
Kathy, MY slippers have fetching yellow flowers glued to the top of them!
Brink, I never saw the V sign either until you mentioned it. HAHAHA!! What a bad seed....
Awesome effects there Pam (ya crack me up girl!). Lovin' that looooong 70's hair, and those specs. Cute. Bet you lot haven't changed a jot (that pic was taken last week, right?)
:-)
BB
Nah, haven't changed a bit, B.B.
And my daughter cheerfully informed me that these glasses are back in style! I beg to differ, but what do I know?
I had my "Vidal Sassoon" haircut, so stylin'! Remember Mom took me downtown to VS for a "hairdo" and get my eyebrows waxed? I cried so much after the first eyebrow that I wouldn't let them touch the second one. It was a good look, wasn't it?? Happy day after birthday Brinkster....
Remember?! Oh, I remember. I was banished to wait outside the salon, I was laughing so hard.
Then they decided to just pluck the other eyebrow, and every time the technician pulled a hair, you'd flinch and writhe and cry like you were in labour. Oh, man, that was funny. Sorry. But it was.
And hey, nice slippers. We were all rockin' the look back then.
