Finished!

From this:
to this:Warm, soft, heavy, woolen goodness around my neck. It makes me want to jump around like Tom Hanks in CASTAWAY after he figures out how to make fire. Now I need another project. I'm bereft of the tactile pleasure that comes with a knitting project on the go.

Youngest, what hast thou wrought?! Thou hast created a yarn monster....

I have ordered more yarn, this time in rich blues.

Oy.

STUNNING!!!! YEAH YOU!!!! I'm so proud of you!

Besides the beautiful colors, I'm loving how thick and warm you made the scarf.

Yippee! Now everything you knit has to be on BIG needles. The scarf looks beautiful!

Beautiful scarf for a beautiful lady. I'm proud of you, Pam. You did it! *applause*

Now you have to tell youngest though that she's created a knitting fool!

"I'm bereft of the tactile pleasure that comes with a knitting project on the go." Aha... welcome to the world of endless knitting :-) I think I've got about five projects started, three or four on the backburner and one or two as a mirage on the horizon. Yesterday I had no knitting with me and felt a great emptiness in my bag...
And thanks for the bread recipe! Will attempt it someday soon when I'm feeling brave.

Knitting fool is right. Debby, pro tip: it's not me, it's the big needles!

Is there anything I can't do? Well, I can't parse a sentence to save my life, I can't make a lemon meringue pie without it looking like soup, and I can't bend over to put on my socks without grunting. Yup, there are things I can't do.

Deniz, you don't have to be brave for this bread. It's easy peasy and feeds a crowd. Try it!

Dropped over from Debby's blog. I must say... that is an absolutely beautiful scarf!!! I LOVE the colors!!

Had to smile at all the cornbread conversation in an earlier post. As a southern girl I love cornbread and have made many a batch.
