Awwww, that is so sweet. {sniffle} Only now I'm really concerned about what is going to happen to Tara when Bella finally goes on to her great doggy reward. Dogs don't have nearly the lifespan of elephants, so Tara is bound to be left alone eventually. I only hope she's able to make another friend.
I know, I thought the same thing. But I'm guessing Tara will find someone to love and care about. That giant foot rubbing Bella's stomach almost killed me....
A Novel Woman, AKA Pamela Patchet, was unwittingly born and raised in Toronto instead of Paris. She worked her way from A&W carhop to political advisor to advertising executive where, on any given day, she was called upon to soothe disgruntled clients, cajole temperamental artists, juggle multi-million dollar budgets or locate trained penguins for television commercials. She married a handsome dentist for love and a lifetime of free dental care, raised three kids, and established a freelance writing career, not unlike her earlier jobs, minus the penguins.

I sat. I saw. I sniffled. Then I read Linder's comment, and cried.

I'm with Debby, all the way. Thank goodness for a handy box of Kleenex. What a sweet story.

And I have to believe Tara will go on when Bella is gone.
