Hm...a real whodunnit.

Someone took my photo and created a gif.

Not sure how I feel about this.

I don't even know how they did this.

On the other hand, the effect is pretty cool.

It is pretty cool, but it doesn't really matter how well you try to protect yourself, if it's on the internet, people think it's free to use. :(

Yeah - am sure it will happen (or has happened and I have yet to discover infringement) to me. It's why I watermark things - to make it harder. Where did you find it??

Wow. I've never taken a picture so awesome that people have stolen it before. Something to aspire to!

I can't remember where I found it. Flickr, I think. And watermarks can be removed in 2 minutes. A member of my former photo club demonstrated how on her blog.

Turns out this same woman also stole other photos, doctored them by creating a mirror image and adding a few Photoshop tricks (and removed the watermarks) then called them her own. She even entered them in competition. Most of the photos were taken by Finnish photographers, so I guess she thought she wouldn't get caught. This, from a "professional" photographer.

It takes all kinds, I guess. Did you notify the contest that she's using someone else's photos?? I would have.
