Love it. Very funny. But I'm confused; I thought Toronto got snow all the time?? Regardless, this is great; thanks for the chuckle.

Hey, HPKT,

I'm originally from Toronto, but I've lived in Montreal for the last 20+ years. Toronto gets a bit of snow, but not that much. When the occasional big storm hits, they don't cope as well as say, Montrealers or Calgarians or Maritimers do.

About ten years ago, there was a fairly big storm, at least by Toronto's standards, and then-mayor Mel Lastman, in a complete panic, called in the MILITARY to clean up the city. This was, and continues to be, a great source of amusement for the rest of the country, where we just call in our neighbourhood teenage boys to shovel us out.

There's always been a certain rivalry between Montreal and Toronto, which considers itself the centre of the universe. Hey people, I was born and raised there. It does.

And even the people who live in the suburbs outside of Toronto (okay, me) make fun of Toronto. I was in Toronto in December when they had a "snowstorm" (an inch or two). You couldn't get a cab, everybody was late for work, people kept complaining about the "storm". They got about the same amount of snow that we'd had in the 'burbs for about a month already. The rurals call Torontoians "Cidiots" (okay, me)

that's Torontonians

Yutha,

Cidiots? I love it!! And the term is not limited to one city.

I'm not allowed to say this, especially in Montreal, but I miss the big T.O.

Very funny. Where do you find this stuff? I can't add a link to your blog, on my blog unless I have the http// thing.

Lynne,

Oh, I find all kinds of stuff under my sofa cushions.

And you are not seriously asking me for tech advice, are you?
