Flowers blossoming in Spring whoo hoo!

Right now, I'm not sure which I love more - my camera, or the fact that it's finally finally FINALLY warm outside. The little violets were the first things to pop up, and the roses, well, the roses were a gift from my sweet husband, "just because" he said. The top photo is pretty close to their natural colour - a brilliant, vibrant yellow. I toned them down for the close-ups. I'm amazed at what this Nikkor 18-200mm lens can do. I thought I might get a macro-lens, but now I'm not sure I need one.

Gorgeous... my roses are all about to be pruned severely and not a bud in sight... I love the above shot of the roses best I think. The pattern is really lovely.

Best we can do for new life is some puppies!!!! Brand spanking new...

Great photos! Would love to dive right in those rose petals. I can almost smell them!

Your photos remind me that soon, Farmer's Market will start up again, and I will be able to buy the most beautiful flowers ever from a guy who grows them on his family farm. Yeah Spring, Yeah Summer!

O'Keefe? Don't know about that, but thank you. Actually, one rose had a decidedly male look to it, and I didn't post that one. Maybe I'll put it up and let you decide.(wink)

I can hardly wait to get to the cottage and take some shots of our wild flowers - trilliums in rose, white and burgundy, lady slippers, jack in the pulpit, wintergreen (I love to chew the leaves) and my lovely bird buddies. When the hummingbirds come back, I know it's spring.

Off to see Bush Babe's puppies....
