Spectacular... and the opposite (in a gardening sense) of my post for Mother's Day...

Do you PS your pics much?

They are bloomin' lovely...
(Sorry!)

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

BB, I don't use PS. I do use Picasa2, which is a very basic (and free) software program. The only adjustments I'll make, if necessary, are: sharpen, crop, and fiddle with the light, mostly the shadows. I don't usually touch the colour. It helps that I don't shoot in direct sunlight if I can help it, so the colour ends up naturally saturated.

I do adjust the colour on portraits though. The Picasa has a feature called "warmify" which takes the blue out of skin tones and warms them up. You have to be careful, though, because your subject can look orange if you're not careful.

I took a bunch more this morning. An embarrassment of riches at the neighbour's place. My daughter works in the garden and I get to admire and photograph the flowers, which is the ideal situation in my books.

Now, if I can only convince my dear husband that PS3 is a necessity in life, like air or chocolate....

Gorgeous photos! And makes me realize how much I miss tulips. That last one looks like a parrot tulip, and the colors are exquisite.

Your light is so different from ours... even in the shade the light is quite harsh sometimes. Love the images - and the new ones too!

You don't need PS - but it's WAY fun!!!!!

Bush Babe, the light is wonderful this time of year. Actually, the shade was so dark for the little blue bells in the other set, that I wasn't even sure those photos would come out, but the colour was saturated and perfect.

I've got a PS3 arriving on Friday!!

Be still my heart.

Have fun...
