Okay. Enough now. Please stop the snow.

Yes, there is more snow forecast. But look what I saw today.

Okay, technically it isn't in my garden, but in a pot in my kitchen. I think the black background makes it look like a painting. I got that effect from a Secret Photographic Technique. (I put my son's black suede jacket behind the flowers.)

I know there are some chilly little bulbs in the garden, biding their time. In the meantime, I'm happy with these beauties.

Bonus points if you can spot the Buddy.

I am so glad you are FINALLY having camera fun! You deserve it! You've been so patient. The pics are great. I love tulips. I used to plant over 200 bulbs every year in our yard in Dallas, and in Virginia Beach as well. Did not do that in Florida, nor here. Bulbs would do beautifully here, except for the fact that the elk and deer love them almost as much as I do.

Is Buddy a sharpei?

Wow! That first photo is amazing; nice job!

I'm ready, too....

I see the Budster, standing outside the door. What do I win???

The squirrels get them at home. They wait until the buds are just about to open and then they move in and decapitate the lot. I started putting a dab of Bitter Apple gel on each stalk, but it got too labour intensive.

And Buddy is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. There are photos of him in some old posts and a story or two. Or maybe I'll take some portraits with my New Camera.

Gorgeous photo of the tulip! Spring is finally arriving down here and the daffodils, tulip trees, and serviceberry trees are all abloom. Thank the gods spring has sprung!!!!

Oh my gosh!!! Your tulip on black is really gorgeous!

I once hung a sheet up for a white background...and it looked like a sheet. Ugh.

Your black jacket is magic!

Donna,

That tulip was my first try at a flower shot, and I think it was part luck and partly the lens I used (18-200)so I was pleasantly surprised.

And your website is gorgeous. Almost as gorgeous as that sweet girl of yours.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm really looking forward to more posts over at PW's site.

Gorgeous photo, will have to skip the bonus points, because I don't see a buddy. Ow, Charlie bit me is funny, and always will be. It's nice to see a big brother who can take that and keep smiling. As for please stop the snow, ayup. More here tomorrow. Cannot tell you how much I love it! New camera! YAY!

Lynne, Buddy, my dog, is in the upper left corner. You can only see an eye and an ear, but he's there, watching with interest, wondering if dog biscuits might somehow be involved with what I was doing.

Thanks, Bon.

Be prepared for more. My new camera is addictive and is calling to me daily. (wink)
