A few more photos of Easter weekend

When I tell you there was a lot of snow this past weekend....

I'm not exaggerating, folks.

But it wasn't all bad. It was nice and sunny all weekend. Take this view from our bedroom window, for example. See all the sunshine? No? Look carefully at the upper, right-hand corner.

And the view of our front deck.

Remember the photo of Doug digging us IN to the cottage?

This is the after photo from the screened-in porch. Note the extension ladder stuck in the snow:

But that's not to say it isn't beautiful up here in the Great White North.

It's just that we've had enough already.

Don't hate me but I miss snow. We've had such a wimpy winter in NYC this year. One snow storm and the snow melted the next day.

Hey, Dingo, I hear you. I love the snow, too. But it's Spring now, S.P.R.I.N.G.!

I've had enough now.

I don't think I would EVER miss snow. I've had it for 47 years, the novelty has worn off. I will move somewhere warm when I retire and when I feel the urge to see snow, I'll go to it. There, I've said it....

Whaddya mean, "go to it" when you can look at pictures of it whilst you lie on a beach and order cocktails until the feeling goes away.

That's my new plan.

I like the ladder stuck in the snow!
We're moving slowly to spring, though we can't open the back door all the way. Have to wait for the ice to melt. But we can see grass, here and there, wondering if it's safe to come out!

When I say "I'll go to it", I mean Dave will go skiing and I will go to the spa, looking at the snow out the window whilst someone paints my toenails.....and, okay, sipping a cocktail.

Try to think about how nice it will be when you're in the middle of a gorgeous summer while those of us down south are melting. {g}

Donna, I wasn't kidding, was I?

Has it melted yet? Ours has.

Lynne,

Nope. But there is (sun) light at the end of the (snow) tunnel. It's warming up nicely this week so it should at least reduce the snowdrifts enough that we might be able to see past the ends of our driveways. The piles at the end of mine are still about six feet high. Ridiculous.
