My cat Sunny, before she went on to her great feline reward in the sky, was rather aloof. The only time she would sit on my lap was when I was at the computer. Then I couldn't keep her off me. Sheesh. Cats.
I delivered a car yesterday to a customer who runs an assisted living facility. As I'm walking to the door, I saw the most beautiful cat statue...until I got close to it and it jumped up and put it's little paws on my knees and started rubbing its head all over me. O_o I didn't know this cat! Evidently, it wanted to know me!
There were some other things, but what a fun personality for a cat. Looked like a cross between a seal point and persian and it was just gorgeous.
My cat on the other hand, who has lived with me for 12 years, just looks at me like I'm invading her home and only tolerated because occasionally, I can make food fall from the sky...
A Novel Woman, AKA Pamela Patchet, was unwittingly born and raised in Toronto instead of Paris. She worked her way from A&W carhop to political advisor to advertising executive where, on any given day, she was called upon to soothe disgruntled clients, cajole temperamental artists, juggle multi-million dollar budgets or locate trained penguins for television commercials. She married a handsome dentist for love and a lifetime of free dental care, raised three kids, and established a freelance writing career, not unlike her earlier jobs, minus the penguins.

I just ADORE Simon's Cat! He's been a fav of mine for a long time.
Boris, the black cat, is relaxed and easygoing, like having a cushion with feet. Kicia is like Simon's cat. Drives me nuts!
I love both your cats. :)

I miss a cat. Until I see one of Simon's cats. Then I just wonder why I want one.
There is no explaining cats, or why we want them around. It's like trying to explain why chocolate is good for breakfast. It just IS.
