She worked her way from A&W carhop to political advisor to advertising executive where, on any given day, she was called upon to soothe disgruntled clients, cajole temperamental artists, juggle multi-million dollar budgets or locate trained penguins for television commercials. She married a handsome dentist for love and a lifetime of free dental care, raised three kids, and established a freelance writing career, not unlike her earlier jobs, minus the penguins.

I agree 100% that Harper has to go, but disagree that voting strategically is the answer. If you vote for a party you don't agree with you may end up with a government you don't like. Vote so that you are proud that you made a stand for what you believe.
I agree, Francie. I'm proud to say my three (now grown) children are very involved and interested in the process, and have either read or met with at least three of our candidates so as to make informed choices. I'm so disappointed in the Liberal party's choice of leader. I think gains will be made in the NDP and PC parties at their expense. Iggie has to go. However we have a great local Liberal candidate who is fighting for water rights amongst other things, and I support that.
I have to tell you I do wonder about the Liberals. It is as if they are marking time, waiting for Justin Trudeau to reach a certain 'magic' age. Could be my imagination but I can't think of any other way to explain the parade of lackluster leaders.
