Mine too. Perfect. That man is a genius. Listening to it, the last back and forth bit, he never backed down, and he never missed a word. He controlled that interview, and he did so perfectly.
I think he, like all of us, are just fed up with this gonzo, subversive, nasty style of "journalism" that is selling newspapers. News Of The World is going to be shut down, the offenders are in the process of being arrested, and I say good riddance. And a plague on all their houses. Okay, maybe not the plague, but a minor infestation of ants in the kitchen.
LOL - as usual, I cannot hear this clip (and its driving me crazy). Hugh Grant as a hero - not something I would have generally anticipated, so clearly will have to find a computer that does allow me to listen!
As an ex-journo, I just want to say that NOTW writers adher to no guidelines I ever worked by. A whole different breed altogether. And I find it hard to believe that the lows they sank to FOR DECADES is a surprise to the Murdochs. Just sayin'...
I think mice would be an appropriate infestation - something that nibbles and stinks. :-) BB
A Novel Woman, AKA Pamela Patchet, was unwittingly born and raised in Toronto instead of Paris. She worked her way from A&W carhop to political advisor to advertising executive where, on any given day, she was called upon to soothe disgruntled clients, cajole temperamental artists, juggle multi-million dollar budgets or locate trained penguins for television commercials. She married a handsome dentist for love and a lifetime of free dental care, raised three kids, and established a freelance writing career, not unlike her earlier jobs, minus the penguins.
